Social networking sites has been a great way for Internet Marketers and Businesses to showcase their sites, products, or services into a variety of audiences. Through social networking sites, these marketers are able to find possible consumers and supporters that also contribute on the marketing strategy through word-of-mouth and social or personal writing recommendations.


     Twitter is one of these social networking sites.With an average of
75 million users worldwide (Sharon Gaudin of ComputerWorld) and increasing, no wonder that Twitter will be seen as an opportunity for advertisers to market their product using people's activities and motivations. Who doesn't know Twitter? For those who don't, Twitter is a social following site wherein a person can follow friends, relatives, or celebrities in terms of messaging, updates, recommendations, and anything that can be shared through written characters called tweets.


     Nowadays, lots of applications were developed in order to maximize the Twitter usage experience; most of them having different functionalities offered. In this blog, I want to share the free Twitter applications that I've been using to facilitate ease, efficiency and visibility of my tweets.




Socialoomph
     
     Formerly named as TweetLater, Socialoomph is an application for scheduling tweets, tracking keywords, shortening links, and saving and reusing drafts. It allows you to automatically follow those who are following you. It also provides automatic welcome messaging to those who'll follow you. It secures Twitter and Buzz access (not only supports Twitter but also Buzz! Hmmm... could it be the reason of changing its name from Tweetlater to Socialooomph?!...). More features are available for upgraded accounts.




TweetSpinner


     TweetSpinner is a tool that automatically cleans your Twitter DM (short for Direct Message) spams. It also allows you to schedule your Twitter profiles and designs making you more engaged and showing-off to your followers. You can create a group among your followers and tweet by groups. You can filter your friends in terms of keywords and you have the option to unfollow those who will not match. You can also find people to follow (in terms of keywords again), see who follows you back, and unfollow those who don't.
